Jeff Fisher Named Vice President of Business Development at RES Software
Amsterdam, the Netherlands and Philadelphia, PA – July 7, 2010 — RES Software, the global leader in user workspace management software, today announced the appointment of software strategist and business development expert, Jeff Fisher, as Vice President of Business Development. Fisher will be responsible for developing key business relationships and revenue opportunities to fuel continued, global growth for RES Software. He will also play a critical role in developing the company’s long term global growth strategy as well as solidifying its presence in key regions, such as the United States.
Fisher is a recognized business development leader in the desktop virtualization space, with a strong presence as an executive speaker, author, blogger and trusted advisor to customers, partners, analysts and the investment community. To his new role, he brings more than 15 years of experience in strategic planning and market development, technical selling and alliance formation in the infrastructure software market. His deep stable of industry knowledge and strong relationships will enable him to drive RES Software’s ongoing expansion, with an emphasis on building new, strategic ISV partnerships. He will also be focused on growing the company’s presence in high-potential market segments among both partners and customers.

Most recently, Fisher served as Vice President of Strategy at Desktone, where he architected and executed a multi-year market development strategy, establishing the company as a globally recognized leader in desktop virtualization. Prior to that, he held the positions of Senior Business Development Manager at Microsoft and Director of Business Development at Softricity. He also worked for both Citrix and Netlan after earning his Bachelor of Arts from Cornell University and Masters in Business Administration from Columbia Business School.
