Lindenhout is a youth care organization in Gelderland and Overijssel,
employing more than 650 people. Each year they offer support and
supervision to more than 3,000 children, youths and their careers. In
addition to its regional offices in Arnhem, Doetinchem, Winterswijk and
Ede, Lindenhout operates from more than 40 additional locations.
Lindenhout’s network was on its last leg. They kept on having
problems with malfunctions and growing with the organization was
time-consuming. They were managing the workspaces with software from
their supplier at the time. The software did what it was supposed to do,
but its possibilities were seriously limited. Whenever a user logged
on, the desktop was populated and shortcuts were placed in the Start
menu by means of all kinds of scripts, in accordance with his or her
network rights. As the network grew and the number of employees
increased, managing it took up more and more time.
The most important factor in choosing a new solution was to keep
costs low. After a successful test, Lindenhout chose to implement RES
Workspace Manager to their hundreds of thin clients as well as a handful
of fat clients. Now the entire organization can run using the same
workspace. The employee and customer satisfaction has proved that RES

organization like Lindenhout.
